I am emerging from shock having spent the weekend in Dubai. It's something of a contrast to sleepy old Yemen. Here is a shop dedicated to 'Camella,' Illustrating everything that's wrong with Dubai.
Oops, that should be ‘Camella’ not ‘Carmella’ (corrected – you can just make it out on the sign in the centre). I like to think of Camella as a demonically-possessed, kitten-eating, pink camel-type monster that preys on children. But that’s just me.
And yes, I think I threw up a little in my mouth as I walked past this store.
Wow. My 14 year old would think it was heaven, but I’d like to poke my eyes out now.
